Men’s tennis hosts tourney
Georgia’s mens tennis team begins its fall schedule by hosting
the Southern Collegiate Championships this weekend in
Athens.
More than 200 players from 40 schools will participate in the
tournament. The four-day event starts today at 8 a.m, and matches
will continue through Monday.
The defending national champion Bulldogs have five returning
players ranked in the top 40, including top- ranked Matias Boeker
and No. 3 Bo Hodge.
Boeker won the triple crown of college tennis, claiming the men’s
singles championship along with a share of the doubles and team
trophies.
