Derrick Ash, 21, of Decatur, paints the Greek symbol of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity early Monday morning during the street painting of Sanford Drive, which kicked off the beginning of Homecoming week activities. Alpha Phi Alpha selected Horace King, the first black football player at the University, to depict the Homecoming theme “Where Legends Are Made” for the fraternity’s street painting.
