Joe T. needs to make way for Stafford
It’s been a tough couple weeks to be a Georgia Bulldog, and it may be a while before it’s good to be one again. These past two losses may have been hard, but they were certainly deserved as we barely survived against Colorado and Ole Miss. Joe T. has come off that ankle sprain and done an overall above-average job leading this team – which is why he needs to be second-string for the rest of the season. Now that we have nothing to lose, we should probably start focusing on getting next year’s season-starter prepped up. Right now, that looks like Matthew Stafford. Coach Mark Richt may want to flip the snap percentage around. Let Joe T. play, but get him teaching Stafford some leadership so we’re ready for what has to be a 2007 Redemption Year. If the Vols could do it, I know we can too.

Fall Break change good for students
It’s clear that a one day Fall Break and a week-long Thanksgiving Break are the most advantageous to students. We would still have an entire day to get our tailgating selves down to Jacksonville and enjoy the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party (my apologies, Dr. Adams, for the terminology). Come November, we would have an entire week to prep for the Georgia Tech game without angering our families by leaving home before the stuffing and pumpkin pies have cooled off. Plus, it’s simple math. Instead of two days off for Fall Break and three days off for Thanksgiving, we’d get five days off for Thanksgiving and one day off for Fall Break. Even Jim Harrick Jr. could tell you that six is more than five.

Inspiration lacking in Bulldogs’ game
Is there any reason why, after a devastating loss to Vandy, I should stumble across two Bulldog football players in a liquor store gleefully discussing their mixers?
We just got waxed by a team with half the talent and twice the heart and it looked like it didn’t even faze them. I am tired of spending my money to watch a team with no pride and no guts.
We have played some of the most uninspired football over the last six quarters that I have ever seen. It’s true, there were sparks of greatness in the first half of the Tennessee game, but they have since faded along with my faith in our team’s commitment and heart. So, players, the next time you are stumbling downtown or hanging out at bikini contests, think about me because I am questioning your desire. Play with passion or go home. Bottoms up.
