Sexual assault reported Sunday
A female student told Athens-Clarke County Police she was sexually battered Sunday morning, according to the police report.
The victim said she was downtown with friends Saturday night.
She reported leaving downtown at 2:30 a.m. Sunday in a taxi with a friend.
The victim told police she fell asleep at some point during the taxi ride but could not be sure of the time.
She woke up at 9:30 a.m. on a couch in an unknown living room with a white male about 22 or 23 years old sleeping next to her, according to the police report.
The victim said her pants and bra had been removed, and she remembered being touched at some point during the night.
She told police she hadn’t given anyone consent to touch her.
The victim told police she remembered the location of the apartment but had trouble finding it when she tried to take police there.
It was unclear where the victim attends school.
