The following incidents were taken from Athens-Clarke County and University police reports:
University Police issued a warrant Wednesday for the arrest of University employee Marshall Hurt Akers after charging him with 15 felonies.
Akers is charged with five felony counts of computer forgery, five felony counts of theft by taking and five felony counts of unauthorized use of financial transaction.
An employee of internal auditing contacted the police in May 2006 after an audit revealed an undisclosed amount of money was taken from the New Media Institute between July 1, 2005 and May 31, 2006.
A female University student reported to ACC Police early Thursday she was touched inappropriately by an acquaintance at a downtown bar.
The female told police a man she knows followed her into the women’s restroom while she was at Walker’s Pub on College Avenue.
When she came out of the stall, she said the man grabbed her, pulled her close and kissed her.
She said she pulled away, but then he reached under her skirt and touched her genitalia.
The man told police he followed her in the restroom and kissed her, but said he did not touch her genitalia.
He said she gave him her phone number earlier, and he was trying to get her to go home with him.
The female is not pressing charges.
