CRIME NOTEBOOK

The following accounts were taken from University and Athens-Clarke County police reports:

April 24

 A male University student told University Police someone took his bookbag containing a laptop, hard drive and keys from the Broad Street Art Studios between 11 a.m. and 11:50 a.m.
The bag and its contents were valued at $2,643 total.

 A male University employee reported to University Police he received a harassing e-mail from a person he did not know at about 1:25 p.m.

 University student Peter El-Masby told ACC Police someone entered his vehicle between 11:30 p.m. on April 23 and 9:15 a.m. on April 24 while it was parked at his International Drive residence. He reported a laptop computer, valued at $1,400, was stolen.

April 25

 A female University student told University Police an unidentified man pointed a firearm at her Wednesday, police said.
The woman told University Police she was
sitting inside of a vehicle parked at the Rooker Hall turnaround at about 8:15 p.m.
She said a man she did not know stepped out of his vehicle and waved what appeared to be a gun at her.

 A male University student reported his bicycle wheel, valued at $20, was taken after he left his bike at Memorial Hall from 8 a.m. on April 19 to 9:30 a.m. on April 25.

April 26

 University student Marilee Reid Mason was arrested at Brumby Hall at about 3:05 a.m. and charged with underage possession of alcohol.

 Visitor Christopher Glenn Stovall was arrested
at about 3:29 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he failed to maintain his vehicle in a lane.
