Parties earn the University Princeton Review ranking
The University is a great place to party, according to the Princeton Review’s “2008 Best 366 Colleges.”
The poll placed University students at number three for rarely studying. The University ranked fifth in “party school,” “best college newspaper” and “students pack the stadium” categories.
Topping the party school list were West Virginia University, University of Mississippi, University of Texas at Austin and University of Florida. The University of Georgia moved up seven spots from last year’s ranking of 12th.
The Washington Monthly ranked the University number 139th in its “national universities” ranking, according to their Web site.
Washington Monthly ranks higher education institutions’ contributions to the country, according to the Web site. The categories, all equally weighted, for ranking include community service, research and social mobility. The University ranked 70th in the research category and 45th in the bachelor/Ph.D. category.
