CrimeWatch Deluxe

The following unrelated incidents were reported by the Athens-Clarke County police department:

An entering auto occurred at 270 Cobb Street between 3 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Oct. 24. Natasha Murphy reported a $90 iPod road trip and a down jacket stolen. The sun roof was damaged. She said the suspect probably broke into her vehicle when the dog barked at 3 a.m.

A theft occurred at 425 Riverbend Road between 2:15 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Oct. 25. Krithika Vaidyanathan reported a $200 digital camera and $20 case stolen. She said she believes she left them in a taxi van.

Jesika Shea Wehunt, 19, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol at River Club Apartments on 100 South Macon Highway at 3:20 a.m. on Oct. 24. A police officer was on patrol when he heard a man and woman yelling outside. When he approached, Wehunt went inside and the officer could see a large amount of beer cans inside. Wehunt told the officer she had been to Sideways bar earlier in the evening.

Alexander W. Russell was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct at The Firehouse on 321 East Clayton Street at 2:15 a.m. on Oct. 26. Alex Fairchild was arrested and charged with underage possession and possession of a fake ID. Russell attacked Fairchild with his hands, and both were stopped by officers.

A criminal trespass occurred at 1610 Whit Davis Road between 2:45 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 25. Darlan Goodman reported that her fence was broken and Animal Control took her dogs because they got outside of the fence. She named a suspect.

An entering auto occurred on 235 Derby Street between 2:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Oct. 25. An officer on patrol saw a damaged driver’s side window and informed owner Clayton Dalton, who reported a $350 CD player stolen.

Stephen Kearns, 20, was arrested and charged with possession of a fake ID and underage possession at Allgoods on 256 East Clayton Street at 12:50 a.m. on Oct. 27. A police officer recognized Kearns from an arrest two weeks earlier and knew he was under 21. The officer asked Kearns for an ID and found a fake one.

A burglary occurred at 437 Bloomfield Street between 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 26 and noon on Oct. 27. Henry Warnock said someone kicked in the back door and stole several items while he and his roommates were out of town. A $2000 laptop, $500 television, $200 television, $100 watch and $100 sunglasses were stolen. Warnock said no one knew the residents would be out of town.

The following unrelated incidents were reported by the UGA police department:

A theft occurred at Oglethorpe House between 5 p.m. on Aug. 11 and noon on Oct. 21. A female student reported at $35 duffel bag, $35 necklace and $22 necklace stolen at various times.

A theft occurred at the Tate Student Center between 9:20 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 23. A male student reported a $1,800 laptop, $25 computer bag and $57 computer game stolen.

Criminal damage occurred in the Brumby Hall lot between 2 p.m. on Oct. 15 and 11 p.m. on Oct. 23. A female student reported a side mirror knocked off the vehicle.

Criminal trespass occurred on the Foley Field lot between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 23. A female employee reported her vehicle scratched.

An entering auto occurred in the Upper Graduate lot at Hull and Waddell streets between 7:45 a.m. and 12:25 p.m. on Oct. 24. A male student reported a $180 CD player, two knives and a bag stolen from his unlocked vehicle.

The following unrelated arrests were reported in the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office booking log:

Katie Melissa Moore, 19, was arrested and charged with shoplifting. She was booked at 1:26 p.m. on Oct. 24.

Allen Grover Kerlin, 28, was arrested and charged with alteration of license plate, expired tag, improper driving and driving under the influence of alcohol. He was booked at 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 25.

Jeffrey O’Neal Owens, 36, was arrested and charged with a felony count of theft by taking. He was booked at 7:43 a.m. on Oct. 25.

Gene Bell, 30, was arrested and charged with no proof of insurance. He was booked at 2:22 a.m. on Oct. 27. Bell is a North Campus custodial worker.

Tenryn Teyatos Linston, 31, was arrested and charged with a felony count of aggravated assault and a felony count of terroristic threats and acts. He was booked at 4:40 p.m. on Oct. 26. Linston is a sanitation services worker.

Sarah Rachael Stone, 20, was arrested and charged with probation violation. She was booked at 6:15 p.m. on Oct. 26.

David Alan Johnson, 30, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He was booked at 5:53 a.m. on Oct. 28.

Elizabeth Snow Laine, 22, was arrested and charged with following too closely, driving under the influence of alcohol and improper driving. She was booked at 9:26 p.m. on Oct. 27.
