Crimewatch Deluxe
The following unrelated incidents were reported by the Athens-Clarke County police department:
Laura Knight reported an entering auto on Feb. 1 on East Broad Street. According to the police report the incident occurred while Knight was shopping, the vehicle was locked and the top of the Mustang was cut. Items taken and worth: glass beads-$400, green iPOD-$300, palm Treo-$300, cd-$15, Box set of dvd’s-$30, swimsuit-$35, jacket-$30.
Americo Delgato reported burglary at 158 N. Church St on Feb. 1. According to a police report a door was left unsecure because only two rooomates out of the three that live there have a key. A McIntosh computer worth $1,100 was reported taken.
Robert Baker reported financial transaction card fraud on Feb. 2 at Abby West apartments located at 250 Epps Bridge. Items taken: UGA ID, Social Security Card, USA and Bank of America check cards, Bank of America and Navy Federal credit cards. No money was taken.
Madison Suber reported a theft by taking on Feb. 2 at the Arch Bar, located at 228 N. Lumpkin Street. Suber left her purse at the bar and her $200 Cybershot Sony camera and driver’s license worth $15, according a report by police.
Gloria Tempka reported a theft by taking at the Ramsey Center on River Road, on Feb. 2. According to a police report Tempka placed her purse in an unlocked locker and a $300 iPod was taken, in addition to her license worth $10, credit card and bank card each worth $1.
Shirlynn Brownell, reported a theft by taking on Feb. 3 that occurred at the Ritz nightclub at 346 W. Broad Street. Items taken and their worth: wallet – $10, brown sidekick cell phone – $400, car key – $5. According to the police report “the wallet was attached to the wrist, a fight broke out and it fell off. Someone said they saw a football player pick it up but could not identify them.”
Rebecca Linoner reported a theft of lost/mislaid property on Feb. 3 on Clayton Street. Itens taken and worth: driver’s license and UGA ID-$10 each and Back of America Card- $2.
The following reports were reported by the Athens-Clarke County Police
Justin Reynolds, 19, was arrested for loitering/prowling and underage possession of alcohol at 10:05 a.m. on Feb. 5.
Joshua Lyle, 19, was arrested for underage possession of alcohol on Feb. 6 at 2:10 a.m.
James Curtis Smith, 23, was found in contempt of municipal court on Feb. 7 at 4:16 p.m.
The following reported by University police:
A female student reported theft of lost/mislaid property of a bracelet worth $1,500 on Feb. 1 between 9:05 a.m. and 11 a.m. in Brooks Hall.
A male student reported an entering auto between Feb. 1 at 8 p.m. to 02/02/08 at 2 p.m. at the Pi Kappa Alpha Lot. A CD player ($200) and cell phone charger ($15) taken.
Brandt Bassinger Travitz was arrested for underage possession/possession of fake ID/failure to yield to pedestrian in crosswalk on Feb. 1 at 9:59 a.m. on Baldwin Street @ Fine Arts.
Travis Lewis Jones was arrested for underage possession on Feb. 1 at 9:50 p.m. in Hill Hall.
Preston Elliott Girardot was arrested for underage possession on Feb. 1 at 9:50 p.m. in Hill Hall.
Richard Olaf Sabine Jr. was charged with reckless conduct on Feb 2.
Amy Louise Ituarte-Roehm was arrested for underage possession/giving false information/possession of fake ID on Feb. 2 at 2:57 a.m. in the Central Duplicating Lot.
Lauren Elizabeth Gibbs was charged with DUI/underage possession/failure to maintain lane on Feb. 2 at 2:53 a.m. on East Campus Road.
Vinay Jacob Thomas was arrested for underage possession on Feb. 3 at 3:36 a.m. in Creswell Hall.
Lichuan Fu was arrested for battery (Family Violence)/cruelty to children (Family Violence) on Feb. 3 at 11:21 a.m. in Family Housing.
Sheng Yun Yang, male was arrested for criminal trespass (Family Violence) on Feb. 3at 11:21 a.m. in Family Housing.
John Anthony Pavia was arrested for battery on Feb. 4 at 12:08 a.m. in Russell Hall.
A female student, reported as an injured person was transported from EMS from the U.S. Forestry Building on Feb. 4 at 9:14 a.m.
A female student reported criminal damage between Feb. 1 at 3 p.m. to Feb. 4 at 5 p.m. at the Alpha Chi Omega Lot. There was reported vehicle windshield and fender damage.
Donald Chris Griffeth was arrested for underage possession on Feb. 6 at 1:30 a.m. at the Franklin House.
