A University student told Athens-Clarke County Police that she was raped by a person known to her Wednesday night.

According to an ACC media release, the 23-year old victim said the suspect was visiting at her east side residence. The two watched a movie while lying on the bed. She said she kissed the suspect and told him that was as far as it was going.

The suspect grabbed her, turned her on her back, and raped her. After a few minutes he left, the release said. This incident occurred between 10:30 and 11:30 p.m.
