Crimewatch June 12-19
The following incidents were reported by Athens-Clarke County jail log:
Hardeep Singh Purewal, 18, was arrested and charged with urinating in public and underage possession of alcohol. He was booked at 4:55 a.m. on June 12.
James Lebrot Welch, 20, was arrested and charged with open containers and underage possession of alcohol. He was booked at 1:09 a.m. on June 15.
Robert Francis Pirkle, 20, was arrested and charged with open containers and underage possession of alcohol. He was booked at 1:07 a.m. on June 15.
Trevor Weston Burns, 20, was charged with contempt of Superior Court. He was booked at 9:51 p.m. on June 12.
The following incidents were reported by the Athens Clarke County Police Department:
Nick Lasier reported his vehicle entered between 2:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. June 10 while it was parked at his Barnett Shoals Road residence. A speaker box, amplifier, navigation system, iPod and jack, and stereo system with a total value of $1,530 were stolen.
Officers responded to a burglary in progress at an East Broad St residence around 11:10 p.m. June 12. A witness saw the offender enter the residence through a back door. Officers approached the residence and called out for the male to exit and he complied. After he was handcuffed officers checked the residence and found it had been ransacked. It is unknown at this time if anything is missing. The residents, Cole Scott and Christopher Perkins were not present. Danny Williams, 46, Highway 29, was arrested and charged with Burglary.
The Crestwood Drive residence of Michael Buck Alford was burglarized between 1 p.m. June 14 and 7:30 p.m. June 15. A lap top, Xbox with games and controllers, hard drive, and duffle bag with a total value of $1,420 were stolen.
The following incidents were reported by the University Police Department:
Benjamin Joseph Brandon was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol at Phi Kappa Hall at 11:59 p.m. on June 13.
A female student reported that a person known to her threatened her while displaying a knife at East Campus Village between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. on June 9.
