Emergency rescue members attend to a man who ran into a car with his scooter Monday.

A man on a red and black motorized Suzuki scooter collided with a red Toyota Camry on Baldwin Street just off campus at about 1:15 p.m. Monday.

A reporter from The Red & Black saw the car pull onto the street and the scooter attempt to break. The scooter collided with the front portion of the car. The man fell to the ground and remained there until help came.

An ambulance arrived within five minutes of the accident. The man who was injured could wiggle his feet. He was lifted onto a stretcher and taken to a hospital.

Athens-Clarke County police said the report on the incident will be available to the public today. The Red & Black could not gain access to further information.
