Crimewatch Deluxe Sept. 29-Oct. 6
The following incidents were reported by Athens-Clarke County Police:
Jerry Dana Wade, 32, was charged with simple battery. He was booked at 9:33 a.m. on Sept. 29.
Vandi Elizabeth Taylor, 23, was arrested and charged with DUI alcohol, no proof of insurance and driving the wrong way on a one-way road. She was booked at 2:59 a.m on Oct. 1.
A criminal trespass to property occurred at 193 S. Poplar Street some time between Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. and Sept. 30 at 8:30 a.m. Anna Wojohn, 21, told police she found her vehicle had been damaged during the night. The suspect broke out the front passenger side window, but Wojohn said nothing appeared to be missing from the car’s interior.
An entering auto incident occurred at the Lodge of Athens on 211 North Ave. on Sept. 30 at 7:40 p.m. Brian Miller told police he came outside to his car and found a man rummaging through the center console. Miller stated he yelled at the man and at that time the man got out of the car and dropped an insurance card, tire air pressure gauge and loose change onto the ground. Miller later made a positive identification of the suspect, Todd Doyle Townes.
The following incidents were reported by the University Police Department:
An entering auto incident occurred on Sept. 30 some time between 3:30 p.m. and 3:40 p.m at the intramural fields. A female student reported her purse, makeup and wedding rings valued at $2,550 stolen.
Davis Benjamin Clark, 18, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol at the Bolton Dining Hall on Oct. 1. He was booked at 2:22 a.m. and released on a $500 bond at 5:04 a.m.
William Bennett Buchanan, 18, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol at the Bolton Dining Hall on Oct. 1. He was booked at 2:23 a.m. and released on a $500 bond at 4:19 a.m.
Leslie Johnson Ladd, 18, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol at the Chi Phi parking lot on Oct. 1. She was booked at 3:57 a.m. and released on a $500 bond at 6:23 a.m.
Alexander Stedman Worthy, 18, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol at the Boggs parking lot on Oct. 1. He was booked at 4:27 a.m. and released on a $500 bond at 6:26 a.m.
Sarah Elizabeth Williams, a female student, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol at the Chi Phi parking lot on Oct. 1 at 3:13 a.m.
Bennett Carson Carpenter, 18, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol at the Boggs parking lot on Oct. 1. He was booked at 4:29 a.m. and released on a $500 bond at 6:28 a.m.
Keith Barksdale, was arrested and charged with simple assault and simple battery at the Boggs Hall Lot on Oct. 1 at 11:48 a.m.
Galen Edward Berdis, 18, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol and possession of a fake ID at Hull Street at Baxter Street on Sept. 30 at 2:38 a.m.
A warrant was issued for Joshua Baer Rosenstein, 20, for underage possession of alcohol on Sept. 29.
