Georgia running back Knowshon Moreno was named Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts against Vanderbilt on Saturday.

The sophomore tailback rushed for a season-high 172 yards on 23 carries (7.5 yards a carry) in Georgia’s 24-14 win over the Commodores. It was the 10th 100-yard rushing game of his career.

Moreno is the SEC’s leading scorer, averaging 9.43 points a game.

Freshman wide receiver A.J. Green was also honored by the SEC for his performance againt Vanderbilt. Green caught seven passes for 132 yards and a touchdown.

The No. 9 Bulldogs travel to Baton Rouge Saturday to play No. 11 Louisiana State. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
