Georgia tailback Knowshon Moreno and linebacker Darryl Gamble were named the Southeastern Conference offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively, for their efforts against Louisiana State Saturday.

Moreno, who rushed for 163 yards and a touchdown in Georgia’s 52-38 win, was named player of the week for the third time this season. Gamble tied a Georgia and SEC record Saturday after returning a pair of interceptions for touchdowns. Gamble recorded a career-high 13 tackles, and his two picks for scores ties an NCAA record for linebackers.

Moreno scored on a 68-yard run, the second longest run of his career, and moved up to eighth on the Georgia career-rushing list with 2,259 yards.
