Keynote speaker Dr. Michele Barton of the Department of Large Animal Medicine gives the talk, which is followed by poster and oral presentations and ends with concurrent sessions on Emerging Fields, a discussion group format that discusses how translational research can help solve problems faced in veterinary medicine. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. H237 College of Veterinary Medicine.

- Road Closed: Cedar Street. Sponsored by UGA Physical Plant. Cedar Street, from D.W. Brooks Drive to the Conner Hall parking lot entrance, will be closed from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday due to steam line inspection. The Conner Hall parking lot and on-street parking along Cedar Street will remain accessible.

- Meow-o-Ween costume party. A fundraiser in support of the local cat rescue organization Cat Zip Alliance. 8 p.m., Herty Field.
