Georgia football player Kevin Perez was arrested early Thursday and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the Athens Clarke-County booking report.

Perez, a backup center, was also charged with violating stop and yield signs. He was booked at 4:13 a.m. and released at 5:16 a.m. on $2,000 bond.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported head coach Mark Richt suspended Perez for the Bulldogs’ final two games – Saturday’s against Georgia Tech, and the Bowl game.

“His actions were not acceptable standards of behavior, and he’ll pay a price for his poor judgment,” Richt said in a statement.

This is the 11th Bulldog player to be arrested this year.
