Moreno named to All-America Team

Georgia running back Knowshon Moreno was named to the American Football Coaches Association All-America Team, becoming the first Bulldog named to the team since 2005.

Moreno, who is leading the Southeastern Conference’s in rushing with 1,338 yards and 16 touchdowns, ranks 15th in the nation in rushing yards per game with 111.50. He joins Iowa State running back Shonn Greene on the All-America team. Moreno, Greene and Michigan State’s Javon Ringer are finalists for the Doak Walker Award, given to the nation’s top running back.

Georgia offensive guard Max Jean-Gilles and safety Greg Blue were named All-Americans in 2005.
