ORLANDO, Fla. – With its first win over Georgia since 2000, Georgia Tech felt it was necessary to celebrate by ordering a set of rings with the 45-42 score engraved in them.

When given this news at Tuesday’s press conference at B.B. King’s Blues Club in Orlando, Georgia’s players didn’t have much to say.

“They won the game. I mean, that’s over,” defensive tackle Corvey Irvin said. “It’s about Michigan State right now. Georgia Tech beat us. It was a great ballgame. They were victorious or whatever. That’s in the past and we’re trying to get onto newer things and start the 2009 season off by beating Michigan State.”

That question was followed with one asking the players if there was a game score they would like to have engraved on a ring.

“Not really,” quarterback Matthew Stafford said.
