Crimewatch Jan. 1 – Jan. 14

The following incidents were reported by Athens Clarke County Police:

Travis Lord and Wesley Spires reported a burglary between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. in Shoal Creek Apartments on Jan. 10. The suspect took two checks and two plastic bags of clothes. The suspect hit Lord in the face, and Lord retaliated with a punch to the suspect.

Valgerdur Sherer reported an entering auto on South Peter Street between 6 p.m. Jan. 10 and 8 a.m. Jan. 11. Sherer said $4 was stolen.

Matthew Haaga reported a theft by taking on Georgia Drive between 4 p.m. Jan. 7 and 5:30 p.m. Jan. 11.

Ibrahim El Hussein Shakak of United Taxi reported a theft of service on 909 Broad Street on Jan. 10. Shakak said a university female did not pay her cab fare.

Emily Carter reported an entering of auto on Bridgewater Circle between 11 p.m. on Jan. 8 and 10 am on Jan. 9. A $200 GPS was stolen. The car had been left unlocked.

Patrick Almeter reported a trespass on Cloverhurst Avenue between 7:30 p.m. Jan. 9 and 7 a.m. Jan 10. Almeter reported scratches on the passenger side of his vehicle and a broken side mirror.

Aly Evans, Baxter Street, reported her 1996 Chevy Tahoe entered between 10 p.m. Jan. 4 and 7 a.m. Jan 5. The CD Player, Amplifier, Subwoofer, iPod, and Satellite Radio were missing – valued over $1300.

William Hatchett, Mitchell Street, reported his 2001 Red Chevy Tahoe stolen between 9 a.m. Dec. 19 and 6 p.m. Jan. 5.

The Oglethorpe Avenue residence of Byron Smith, Zach Cherry and Knox Williams was burglarized between noon Dec. 21 and 2 p.m. Jan. 1. Video games, guitars, amplifier, saxophone, TV, router, DVDs, and computer equipment were stolen. The total value was $4,020.

The Jolly Lane residence of Matthew Paul Schnetzer was burglarized between 10:05 p.m. Jan. 6 and 3:05 a.m. Jan. 7. A laptop, X-Box, and PlayStation with a total value of $2,600 were stolen.

Jaryd Green reported his Yamaha Zuma scooter stolen from his Royale Road residence prior to 1 p.m. Jan. 6. The scooter is gray and valued at $1,500. The theft was not reported until Jan. 7.

Between 12:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. Jan. 8, two scooters were stolen from a Northview Drive residence. Jeff Walters of that location reported his 2008 Moto Mojo Uptown stolen. It is silver with black rims and is valued at $1,200. A 2008 Yamaha Zuma, black with red flames, valued at $2,500, and owned by Michael Demperio of Ruth Drive was also stolen.

Gary Pressley reported a laptop and iPod earphones stolen from his West Hancock Avenue residence between 7 p.m. Jan. 8 and noon Jan. 12. The total value was $1,030.

William Walker Jones, 20, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol and open containers. He was booked at 4:03 a.m. on Jan. 10.

Christopher J. Nutgrass, 20, was arrested and charged with open containers. He was booked at 3:48 a.m. on Jan. 10.

Rusty Allan Woodward, 20, was charged with underage possession of alcohol outside of No Where Bar on North Lumpkin St. at 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 10 according to police reports. Garnett Thomas Decosimo, 21, was charged with disorderly conduct.

David Zachary Mokry, 27, was arrested and charged with speeding and DUI at the intersection of the Ga. 10 Loop and Lexington Rd. at 10:10 pm on Jan. 9. He blew a .123. He was booked at 5 a.m. on Jan. 10.

Cory Matthew Osekowski, 18, and Thomas Arrington Rymer, 18, were charged with underage possession of alcohol at the Lambda Chi house at 2:20 a.m. on Jan. 11. Rymer was charged with the same offense in November. Osekowski was also charged with 1st degree forgery and false name for the possession of Chris Evans’ license. According to the report, Rymer and Osekowski tried to hide beer cans when the officer approached. The officer was reporting to a noise violation complaint; the Lambda Chi Fraternity was charged with the violation.

Philip Duke Reed, 23, was arrested and charged with DUI Alcohol, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, open containers and improper driving. He was booked at 3:49 a.m. on Jan. 11.

William Alexander Ames, 24, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on East Clayton Street at 2 a.m. Jan. 11. Two witnesses said Ames punched Alexander Rieke in the face, according to police reports. He was booked at 3:23 a.m. on Jan. 11.

Marie Elizabeth Butler, 24 was charged with furnishing alcohol to minors. She was booked at 11:50 a.m. on Jan. 2.

Sarah Kathryn Daniel, 21, was arrested and charged with DUI Alcohol, improper driving and no headlights. She was booked at 1:40 a.m. on Jan. 3.

Samuel Lake Satterfield, 18, was arrested and charged with DUI Alcohol and underage possession of alcohol. He was booked at 6:48 a.m. on Jan. 4.

Madison Kathleen Bradford, 20, was arrested and charged with DUI Alcohol, underage possession of alcohol and expired tag. She was booked at 4:03 a.m. on Jan. 6.

Samantha McAllister Connelly, 20, was arrested and charged with underage possession and too fast conditions. She was booked at 5:32 a.m. on Jan. 10.

The following incidents were reported by University Police:

Mary Alice Jasperse, 19, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol. She was arrested at Lipscomb Hall at 4:22 a.m. on Jan. 11.

James Edger McManemon III, 21, was arrested and charged with DUI Alcohol and failure to yield left turn. He was arrested at Lumpkin Street at 2:24 a.m. on Jan. 11.

Thomas Alan Steele III, 21, was arrested and charged with DUI Alcohol and failure to maintain lane. He was arrested at Barnett Shoals Road at 4:27 a.m. on Jan. 10.

Justin Erickson Graves, 18, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug related objects. He was arrested at Russell Hall at 10:45 p.m. on Jan. 11.

Eric M. Tall, 18, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol. He was arrested at Russell Hall at 6:21 a.m. on Jan. 13.

Brandon Cullen Pippin, 22, was arrested and charged with DUI Alcohol, failure to maintain lane and open container. He was arrested at College Station Road and the Loop at 2:26 a.m. on Jan. 13.

Charles Gabriel Peacock was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol. He was arrested at 11:27 p.m. at Tau Epsilon Phi on Jan. 6.

Allen Douglas Barris was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol. He was arrested at Russell Hall at 3:05 a.m. on Jan. 7.

Cynthia Y. Huff was arrested and charged with two felony counts of theft by conversion, three felony counts and 10 misdemeanor counts of high and aggravated nature of violation of state purchasing regulations.

Benjamin Spencer Greenough, 18, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass. He was arrested at Russell Hall at 3:26 a.m. Jan. 6.

Elizabeth Eleanor Metherell was arrested and charged with DUI Alcohol and failure to maintain lane. She was arrested at College Station Road at 3:07 a.m. on Jan. 1.

A University student reported an AT&T cell phone, an Apple iPod, a Bluetooth device, a debit card, miscellaneous keys and a black bag worth $935 was stolen on Jan. 2 from the Ramsey Center.

The University reported two windows broken from the exterior of the Sigma Chi Building between Jan. 3 and Jan. 4.

The University reported a window broken from the exterior of the Tanner Building on Jan. 2.

The University reported damage to the interior of an elevator at the Journalism Building between Jan. 2 and Jan. 5.

The University reported a Gateway laptop computer worth $3,279 located off campus was determined to be stolen from the Main Library between Jan. 10, 2008 and Dec. 27, 2008.

A University employee reported an AT&T cell phone worth $30 was stolen on Jan. 5 from the Coverdell Building.

A University student reported a Vizio television worth $400 was stolen from Oglethorpe House between Dec. 17 and Jan. 7.

A University student reported an MBOX2 Pro Audio mixer worth $600 was stolen from Oglethorpe House between Dec. 16 and Jan. 7.

A University student reported an LG cell phone and a wallet and contents worth $190 were stolen from an unsecured locker at the Ramsey Center on Jan. 7.

A University student reported a Garmin navigation unit worth $170 was stolen from a vehicle at the Lower Russell Lot on Jan. 8.

A University student reported an Alpine CD/DVD player and a Garmin navigation unit worth $950 was stolen from a vehicle at the Lower Russell Lot on Jan. 8.

A University student reported an unattended bag with his wallet and its contents worth $252 was stolen from the Ramsey Center on Jan. 8.

A University student reported her keys and ID holder worth $363 were stolen from the Biology Building on Jan. 8.

A University student reported an LG cell phone worth $250 was stolen from Clark Howell Hall on Jan. 9.

A University student reported Sony speakers and a Sony amplifier worth $700 were stolen from a vehicle at the Lower Russell Lot on Jan. 8.

A University student reported receiving multiple text messages of a harassing nature between Jan. 1 and Jan. 8.

A University student reported his vehicle was struck while unattended in the parking deck at the Carlton Street Deck on Jan. 10.

The University reported a Dell laptop computer worth $2,393 was stolen at the Ramsey Center between Jan. 9 and Jan. 12.

A University employee eported a wallet and contents worth $47 was stolen and financial transaction cards used without authorization from the Hoke Smith Annex Lot between Jan. 10 and Jan. 11.

The University reported a Red Max backpack blower worth $350 was stolen from the tennis courts on Jan. 13.

The University reported multiple computers, monitors, projectors and a camera worth $25,745 was unaccounted for after inventory between 2003 and 2008 at the Lamar Dodd School of Art.

A University student reported an Apple laptop computer and case worth $2,015 was stolen from the Performing Arts Center on Jan. 13.
