KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – On the second day of the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships Saturday afternoon at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center in Tennessee, Georgia diver Hannah Moore finished sixth in the 1-meter springboard final and was also able to qualify for the women’s NCAA Championships beginning Thursday.

Moore finished fifth during Friday’s 3-meter springboard final, and if any of those four divers finished in the top four during Saturday’s final, she would advance to the NCAA meet. Two of those divers finished in the top four Saturday, giving Moore one of the 11 spots allocated to Zone B for the NCAA Championships.

Moore was one of three Georgia divers to advance to Saturday’s finals session, finishing with a combined prelim and final score of 537.05 and sixth place overall. Lady Bulldog junior Lexie Bryant recorded a preliminary score of 240.25 and finished in 21st place, three spots out of the finals.

It will be Moore’s second-straight appearance in the NCAA Championships. Last year, Moore earned All-America honors on the 3-meter springboard by finishing fourth at the NCAA Championships. She also finished 22nd on the platform and 23rd in the 1-meter springboard.

On the men’s side, Webb Worthington and Owen Blank advanced to the finals of the men’s 3-meter springboard competition Saturday afternoon. Worthington, who advanced to his second final of the meet, was Georgia’s top finisher in the event, finishing 13th in the 3-meter springboard event with a score of 646.50.

Blank advanced to his first Zone B diving final Saturday, finishing in 16th place with a combined prelim and final score of 615.35. Blank claimed one of the last finals spots during the morning preliminaries, finishing with a score of 301.95 Also for the men, Tim Barrett finished with a preliminary score of 239.90 to finish 41st in the 3-meter springboard prelims.
