2009 Torrance Lecture: Arthur J. Cropley. Arthur J. Cropley, an internationally known researcher and writer on creativity, will deliver the 2009 E. Paul Torrance Lecture. Cropley will discuss the evaluation of creative products and how little research has been done to recognize day-to-day creativity, such as everyday problem solving and the ability to adapt to change, since Torrance’s pioneering work more than 50 years ago. Safe Space Training. Sponsored by the LGBT Resource Center. UGA Safe Space is a

campus-wide initiative offering a message of inclusion, acceptance, and support to lesbian, gay,

bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in the University community. This orientation is to raise

awareness and knowledge of LGBT issues and to suggest ways to serve as an ally to LGBT

individuals. Participants receive a Safe Space decal to

display in their work or living space. 8:30 a.m. to noon.
