ROTC leadership program provides ‘guaranteed job’

What will you do in the real world? Will career-track positions be available in your field? Wouldn’t it be nice to have job security in this economy?

I am lucky to have found the Army ROTC program. I have decided to become a leader, a Second Lieutenant Army officer when I graduate – a guaranteed job, guaranteed pay, guaranteed and ongoing leadership development. I recently attended a summer internship brief about the benefits of the Army ROTC leadership program for Georgia students, and I realized many students do not know what the program has to offer – sizeable scholarships, monetary stipends for contracted cadets and money for books.

The Leader’s Training Course, a four-week internship, is available primarily to current sophomores and seniors this summer so people who are interested can see what Army life is like. Participants are paid for their participation and there is NO obligation incurred to the Army or ROTC; should one decide to join after attending, there is a $5,000 bonus and two-year scholarship available.

There will be another brief held tonight at 6 in Room 350 of the MLC. If you can’t make it, drop an e-mail to the program’s director, Kevin Fracassa, at fracassa@arotc.uga.edu. Army ROTC provides excellent physical, mental and leadership training, you can get paid for being a student in the program, and you can be guaranteed a job after graduation. What other program on campus can match that?
