Former Georgia golfer Whitney Wade birdied the final hole Sunday to shoot five-under 66 and win The Duramed Championship.

Wade won for the first time on the Duramed Futures Tour, carding three rounds in the 60s to post nine-under-par 204, good for a one-shot win at The Golf Center at Kings Island in Ohio.

Jean Reynolds, who shared fourth place with Wade entering the final round, posted a four-under 67 to take second at minus-eight.

“I knew it was tight today, but I didn’t exactly know where I stood,” said Wade of Glasgow, Ky., “Jean was firing at pins and making birdies and we were going back and forth with each other. Our group was having a good time and getting things done.”

Misun Cho closed with a two-under 69 to end alone in third at seven-under-par 206.

Wade earned $17,500 for the win and moved into seventh on the Duramed Futures Tour’s season money list.
