Crimewatch July 2-9
The following was reported by the University Police Department:
The University reported food items ($7) stolen from the Biology Building between July 6 and July 7.
A visitor reported being punched in the face by a known individual at the Tate Center on July 7.
The University reported finding suspected marijuana in a common area at Campus Transit on July 7.
A visitor reported her Verizon cell phone ($250) stolen at the Main Library on July 6.
Pi Kappa Alpha reported a composite photograph and four bolts ($1004) stolen from Pi Kappa Alpha on July 7.
The University reported that an individual used a forged green fees pass at the UGA Golf Course on July 2.
A University student reported $200 cash and an iPod ($365 total) stolen from the Graduate Lot on July 2.
A University student reported his parking hang tag ($35) stolen from the Hull Street Employee Lot on July 1.
A visitor reported mislaying her purse and contents ($322) from the UGA Bookstore on July 2.
A Univerity student reported her iPhone ($250) stolen from Russell Hall on June 30.
Matthew Henry Levenson, 19, was arrested and charged with DUI alcohol, underage possession of alcohol, failure to maintain lane and obstruction of a law enforcement officer. He was arrested at Lumpkin Street at 3:23 a.m. on July 7.
Aaron Bartow Marshburn, 20, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol. He was arrested at Lumpkin Street at 3:23 a.m. on July 7.
Meredith Lee Metz, 21, was arrested and charged with DUI alcohol and failure to maintain lane. She was arrested at South Harris Street and Dearing Street at 2:39 a.m. on July 5.
The following was reported by the Athens-Clarke County Police Department:
Between July 4 and July 5 the Crescendo Drive residence of Jeff Jones was burglarized. A TV, X-Box, laptop, and recording work station were stolen. The total value was $3,600.
Anna Leah Frazier reported her Bridgewater Way residence burglarized between July 4 and July 5. A TV, DVD player, speakers, safe, cameras, computer, and iPod were stolen. The value was $3,445.
Robert Gibbons reported that between July 2 and July 3, his Pinecrest Drive residence through a kicked-in front door. A 52-inch TV, X-Box 360 Game System and controllers were reported stolen from inside the residence.
Brent Reardan Fink, 20, was arrested and charged with DUI alcohol, underage possession of alcohol, speeding and improper driving. He was booked at 8:46 p.m. on July 4.
Amanda Bare, 22, was arrested and charged with DUI alcohol, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and driving on faulty tires. She was booked at 5:13 p.m. on July 5.
