Crimewatch July 29-Aug. 6

The following was reported by the University Police Department:

A visitor reported her vehicle was struck while parked at the Intramural Fields on Aug. 5.

The University reported a Canon camera and a Petro camera bag ($3,250) stolen from EITS between July 24 and Aug. 5.

A University employee reported an unknown individual approached and hit his vehicle, causing scratches at the Old Physical Plant on Aug. 4.

The University reported a Dell projector ($1,538) stolen from Memorial Hall between Feb. 18 and Aug. 3.

A visitor reported being approached by a suspicious individual at the Foley Field Lot on Aug. 3.

The University reported unauthorized use of dumpster service at the Ecology building on July 31.

A University employee reported hearing threats made toward him at Milledge Avenue and Lumpkin Street on July 31.

Two University students reported a laptop computer, a wallet and keys ($1,934) stolen from Phi Delta Theta between July 31 and Aug. 1.

The University reported an individual found intoxicated and passed out in elevator, barred from premises at the Main Library on Aug. 1.

The University reported a Dell laptop computer ($1,000) stolen from the Chicopee Complex between May 13 and July 16.

The University reported a Hitachi camcorder, a Sony digital camera and a framed poster ($1,461) stolen from Memorial Hall between Jan. 28 and June 26.

A visitor reported unauthorized entry to a construction site at East Campus Village between July 29 and 30.

A University student reported his unattended iPhone ($300) stolen from the Ramsey Center on July 30.

The University reported six office chairs ($1,800) stolen from Lamar Dodd School of Art between July 27 and 28.

A University employee reported a CD player and CDs ($420) stolen from her vehicle at the Intramural Fields on July 28.

A University student reported a CD player ($125) stolen from his vehicle at the Intramural Fields on July 28.

A University student reported misplacing her wallet and contents ($252) at the Miller Learning Center on July 17.

Brett Adam Benowitz was arrested and charged with DUI alcohol, failure to maintain lane, underage possession of alcohol and possession of a fake ID. He was arrested at Broad Street and Lumpkin Street at 1:16 a.m. on Aug. 4.

Elizabeth Marie Larson was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol and possession of a fake ID. She was arrested at Broad Street and Lumpkin Street at 1:16 a.m. on Aug. 4.

The following was reported by the Athens-Clarke County Police Department:

The Willow Street residence of Jason Christopher Evans was burglarized between Aug. 1 and 2. A bicycle and laptop with a total value of $1,050 were stolen.

Benjamin Gehman Adams, 23, was charged with felony theft by conversion and felony theft by taking. He was booked at 2:09 p.m. on Aug. 6.

Derek Michael Schuber, 26, was arrested and charged with DUI alcohol. He was booked at 2:05 a.m. on Aug. 7.

Bridget Jean Arndt, 19, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol. She was booked at 11:20 p.m. on Aug. 5.

Mark Andrew Genitempo Jr., 19, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol. He was booked at 11:42 p.m. on Aug. 5.

Christopher Scott Jordan, 20, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol. He was booked at 12:37 a.m. on Aug. 6.

Sean Cowan Joseph, 19, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol. He was booked at 12:17 a.m. on Aug. 6.

Ross Michael Marino, 19, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol. He was booked at 11:22 p.m. on Aug. 5.

Leah Christine Quinn, 18, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol. She was booked at 2:45 a.m. on Aug. 6.

James Richard Hilimire, 21, was arrested and charged with DUI alcohol and failure to dim light. He was booked at 4:16 a.m. on Aug. 5.

Mark Andrew Leblang, 26, was arrested and charged with DUI alcohol and improper driving. He was booked at 4:02 a.m. on July 29.
