Former Bulldog Colwill wins synchro title at national championships

By on August 17, 2009

Former Georgia diver Chris Colwill teamed with Jevon Tarantino to win the synchronized men’s 3-meter springboard title last weekend at the AT&T National Diving Championships.

Colwill and Tarantino rolled up a score of 440.43, scoring 80 or more points on all four of their optional dives.

“We did something that we haven’t done in a long time,” Colwill said. “It was great to score 440. We really focused on our individual diving, and that helped our synchro.”

Colwill, a three-time national champion for the Bulldogs, also took fourth individually on the 3-meter board.
