Riders find new assistant

By on August 17, 2009

The Georgia equestrian team named Jimmy Frebes its new assistant coach for the Western riding corps last week, bringing in someone who has a solid background as a coach and competitor.

In 2007 Frebes won the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association’s National Championship in his best category, Advanced Western Horsemanship For the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio.

Frebes was a graduate assistant for Findlay last season while working toward his Masters of Business Administration. He will continue his studies at Georgia, finishing his degree during his first year as a Bulldog.

Frebes also boasts a pair of B.S. degrees from Findlay in Equine Studies.
