Competition for “best tailgater in the state”
Football season is rapidly approaching.
Georgia football fans believe UGA has the best team in the state, the best stadium in the state and the best fans in the state.
Do we have the best tailgaters?
National brands Cajun Injectorr and The Originalr Louisiana Hot Sauce are looking for the top three tailgaters in the state to reward them for making college game days, and their products, a success.
The prizes include a tent, cookware, a fryer, a smoker, two cooking tables, ice chests, clothing, a team flag and a weekly allowance for food and drinks. One lucky winner will also receive an Originalr Louisiana Hot Sauce Mascot Costume with an internal cooling system.
“It’s not that different from sponsoring a sports team,” Patrick Brown, Vice President of Marketing at Bruce Foods Corporation, said. “Many of these tailgating fans are at every home and away game, mastering the techniques that ensure they have the best setup for cooking and entertaining.”
Sponsoring tailgaters is becoming a trend, according to Brown.
Companies are recognizing how important tailgating is to the game of football. Tailgating often attracts more fans than the game, he said, especially for night games like the home opener against South Carolina on Sept. 12.
To claim the title of “best tailgater in the state,” contestants must create and submit a YouTube video detailing what makes their tailgating team so exceptional. Videos are due by Aug. 31 and winners will be announced Sept. 1. Videos can be submitted at cajuninjector.com/tailgating.
