An ode to furlough days
Furlough days, furlough daze;
I really like my furlough days;
sonny took my money, but gave me time,
and I am going to spend it, making it rhyme…
furlough daze, furlough days,
i really like my furlough days.
football season here, hunting season near…
my mind’s on my money but I’d rather have the time,
thanks governor sunny, what you do is sublime!
furlough daze, furlough days.
I really like my furlough days!

An ode to another football season
Dear Editor,
My name is Tiffany Lauderdale and I am the spouse of a 2001 University of Georgia graduate who is currently serving in the United States Air Force. We are huge UGA football fans. I wrote this poem to inspire the team and fans and wanted to share it with the you.
As Summer fades, and Fall is near,
Alma Mater’s gear up, for football season is here.
As helmets are fitted, and jersey’s are worn,
A new team arises,
The Georgia Bulldogs are born.
Though their schedule, is tough and strong,
The Georgia Dawgs will fight hard ALL year long.
The Gamecocks of Carolina, or the the boys of LSU,
As always the Gators…Arkansas, we’ll take’em too!
Fans fill the stadium, adorned in Red and Black,
Cheering “Go Dawgs,” ready to attack.
Between the hedges, “Glory, Glory” aloud,
Hunker Down Georgia Bulldogs,
Make us proud!!!!!
Go Dawgs!! Good Luck Boys!
