Taylor Dugan Robenalt reported someone unlawfully entered the University ceramics studio Saturday, destroyed artwork, scattered a bag of pottery dirt over the kiln room and did other damage to the studio. The offender entered the Art Complex by circumventing a locked gate to the fence, then breaking a large exterior window.

Robenalt said when she pulled in to the Art Complex’s parking lot she saw a man trying to put a bicycle into the back of his vehicle with another bike sitting next to the vehicle. When the man saw her, he dropped the bike, got into his vehicle and drove away. No damage to the bikes was reported.

A vase was also found broken outside the studio. The vase and the other destroyed pieces of art each were valued around $500.
