GAME REWIND

PLAYER OF THE GAME:
Jonathon Crompton, Tennessee quarterback
Crompton completed 74 percent of his passes, exploiting the Georgia defense for 310 yards and four touchdowns. Crompton utilized the naked bootleg several plays to sell the play action fake, spreading the wealth to eight receivers, three of whom had at least four catches.

KEY MOMENT:
A Bacarri Rambo third quarter interception and score made the score 24-19, but Tennessee answered with an eight play, 80 yard drive, lasting over four minutes. The drive ended with a Montario Hardesty 39-yard touchdown run. Georgia would not score again.

KEY DECISION:
Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin implanting the naked bootleg.
Georgia head coach Mark Richt estimated 80 percent of Tennessee’s total yards came from the play action pass. Crompton said the Volunteers practiced the bootleg all week, and felt good about the success translating on Saturday.
“We got the right play calls because we knew what they were going to do,” he said.
