Georgia offensive tackle Vince Vance was arrested Wednesday by University Police, and was charged with running a red light and driving without a license, according to the police report.

Vance, a senior, has a learner’s permit, but did not have a legal passenger in the vehicle.

A string of minor violations has hit Georgia this season. Junior Vance Cuff was arrested Oct. 14 for driving with an invalid license. Linebacker Rennie Curran had a bench warrant issued on Oct. 7 after failing to pay a speeding ticket.

“I can’t even tell you what we’ve been trying to get done in regard to making sure these things don’t happen,” said football coach Mark Richt. “I’m highly frustrated and I’ve taken things into my own hands to make sure these things get resolved.”

Vance will not be suspended for Saturday’s contest with Florida.

“It’s not affecting his playing status at all,” Richt said.

“If he starts, he was going to start. If he doesn’t, he wasn’t going to start.”
