NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Georgia junior Javier Garrapiz was eliminated in the semifinals of the ITA National Indoor Tournament consolation draw, falling to Florida’s 23rd-ranked Alex Lacroix, 6-2, 6-1, Saturday at Yale University.

Earlier in the day, 38th-ranked Garrapiz downed South Carolina’s 28th-ranked Diego Cubas, 7-5, 6-2, in the quarterfinal round. Garrapiz finished the tournament with a 2-2 record, with both wins coming against ranked opponents.

This ends the fall season for Georgia. Garrapiz finished the fall with a team-high 11 wins followed by Drake Bernstein with 10 and Christian Vitulli with nine.

The Bulldogs will play in the SEC Indoor Tournament Jan. 15-18 in Atlanta.
