Despite scientist’s rant, thanks for Darwin’s book

Like many of you, I picked up a free copy of “The Origin of Species” from the men and women outside of Tate on Wednesday. This was no ordinary edition; it was complete with a special introduction by Ray Comfort, an outspoken creationist. While I couldn’t be more opposed to the creationist movement, I happily accepted a free copy of one of the most important scientific books ever published.

Message to Ray: despite your claims that scientists are trying to censor you, we aren’t. In fact, putting your silly, ignorant defense of creationism side-by-side with Darwin’s writing is the most damning thing you can do for your cause.
