Red & Black Election Predictions
With one week until the 2010 midterm elections, The Red & Black presents the first edition of The Red & Black Senate and Governor Projections.
The projections are based on the race rankings from four political websites: The New York Times, RealClearPolitics, Cook Political Report, and CQ Politics, as well as polling numbers from the various races.
“Safe” races are those that are highly likely to go to one party, and “leaning” races are expected to go to one party, but the other party certainly has a chance on election day.
“Tossup” races could go to either party, but one party is expected to have a slight lead in “tilting” races. Tossup races that are “too close to call” are exactly that.
These rankings will be updated twice before election day, Nov. 2.
