BFA II Exit Show: Fabric Design, Printmaking and Graphic Design

Tonight was Lamar Dodd School of Art’s second Bachelor of Fine Arts Exit Show of the semester. This Exit Show featured work by students who are graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with emphasis on Fabric Design, Printmaking, and Graphic Design. Although the opening reception for the gallery was tonight, the art will displayed in the school until December 13th.

 

Student’s work in Fabric Design: Lexie Bryant, Amelia Johnson, Tressa Linzy, Aimee McLaughlin, Sofi Mitchell and Alice Serres.

Student’s work in Graphic Design: Bianka Avant, Sam Gray, Megan Joyce, Drue McCurdy, Richard Morgan, Tin Nguyen, Sue Nunez, Caroline O’Kelley, Stephanie Pendleton, Alex Petersson, Nicole Robinson, Olivia Scarborough, Bora Shehu and Shelby Teague.

VIVANT: “The Vivant beer campaign will promote the use of growlers to influence the culture of recycling amongst a new generation of beer drinkers.” by: Bianka Avant

THREADS: “Threads is an organization that fosters ethical fashion consumption by promoting awareness of issues pertinent by promoting awareness of issues pertinent to textile and retail clothing industries, such as the use of banned pesticides and employment of sweatshop labor.” -by: Sam Gray 

Student Justine Venick admires Shelby Teague’s interactive art. CURE ALZHEIMER’S FUND: “Every 70 seconds, another American develops Alzheimer’s diseas. Worldwide, 35 million people have the disease, and if we do nothing that number will skrocket to 115 milion in 2050.” “The purpose of my design concept is to raise awareness of and raise funds for the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund. CAF has a plan to end Alzheimer’s disease by 2020, but it needs donations for research and drug developement to realize this goal.Greg Stone takes time from printmaking for attendees to pose for a couple pictures with his artwork.    The Junk Man II.
