Gym Dogs drop one spot following win over Auburn
The Gym Dogs dropped a spot to No. 7 in the Gym Info Top 25 on Monday after posting a 195.975 Friday night in Auburn.
After putting up a sub-par performance — and posting their lowest score of the season — the Gym Dogs fell from No. 6 to No. 7 in the weekly rankings.
Despite the Gym Dogs’ shortcomings, they continue to hold the sixth highest score of the season so far with their score of 196.525 against Denver.

Georgia is ranked No. 2 on beam with an average score of 49.075.
The Gym Dogs are also in the top 10 on bars and vault where they are ranked No.5 (49.15) and No. 9 (49.167), respectively.
After struggling on floor in the first three meets, the team is just outside the top 10 on the event at No. 11 with an average score of 48.883.
Individually, the Gym Dogs have a trio of gymnasts in the top 25 including senior Gina Nuccio who is tied for seventh on bars with a 9.867 average.
Freshman Chelsea Davis is also tied for seventh on beam with an average score of 9.875 after a successful debut performance on the event.
Junior Shayla Worley is the last of the Gym Dogs in the top 10 this week, ranked at No. 10 on beam (9.858).
Reigning national bar champion Kat Ding dropped from first in rankings after posting a 9.55 at Auburn.
The senior is now ranked No. 66 with an average score of 9.792.
The Gym Dogs will look to improve their position in the rankings on Jan. 28 against LSU in the team’s second home meet of the season.
