The drug task force unit had obtained a search warrant and searched Bentley’s residence.

Student arrested after asking to go to jail
A University student was arrested Sunday morning and charged with underage possession of alcohol after asking a police officer to be taken to jail, according to an ACC police report.
Chandler Ford Shearon, 19, approached a police officer downtown and asked the officer if he would take him to jail.
The officer asked why Shearon wanted to go to jail, and he said “because I do not deserve to be down here,” according to the report.
The officer noticed his speech was slurred and that he was intoxicated.
Shearon said he wanted the officer to take him from downtown and he just needed to be arrested, according to the report.
He admitted to being a freshman and produced his actual ID confirming his age.
The report contains a side note stating Sheaorn held another person’s ID in his wallet. The other ID belonged to someone born in 1990. Shearon was not charged with possession of a fake ID, however.
The officer had police transport pick Shearon up from downtown.
