Campuses Beyond Coal assembled 20 students to “flash” President Michael Adams at Tate Plaza on Wednesday from 12:10 p.m. to 12:13p.m. Campuses Beyond Coal,  a national campaign started by the Sierra Student Coalition, is being run all over the country to kick coal off of campuses and replace it with cleaner alternatives. Tyler Torres, a 25-year-old senior majoring in sociology from Ellijay, is a veteran of the Iraq War. To honor Veterans Day, The Red & Black spoke with the cadet, who served as part of the 82nd Airborne Division and was stationed at Forward Operating Base Speicher from 2007 to 2008.
