The word on the tongues of those who know trendy tastes is tapas. Instead of one entr�e, the idea behind tapas restaurants is to order several small plates and share them among diners. Athens offers several places to try a dish – or three or four dishes. Tapas, which means “lid” in Spanish, derives from the Spanish practice of placing a piece of meat or cheese as a lid for wine bottles.
