After skimming down the list of the first ever lineup at Bonnaroo from 2002, two words come to mind: jam band.

Images of tie-dye, braided hair and tents stocked with mass quantities of munchies also come fluttering through.

Kelly Doyle-Mace, one of UGA’s very own, has made it into the top ten out of 700 applicants for the STA travel contest, a student and youth travel group. If Kelly wins, she and one other winner will have the opportunity to travel 15 countries worldwide, and at the end will complete an internship experience in Barcelona.

Taste of Athens is one of the most anticipated annual events in the Athens food community and beyond. Held at the Classic Center downtown, nearly 50 restaurants and cafés participate, and just over a dozen beverage vendors provide samples as well. The highlight of the event had to be Dondero’s Kitchen, which offers catering, groceries and in-house dining with a twist; they change their menu weekly, featuring authentic dishes from different countries and regions.
