Alcohol is to blame for falling GPAs, according to a survey of more than 13,900 incoming freshmen at 167 colleges and universities across the nation. Results from AlcoholEDU, a survey conducted by the research organization Outside the Classroom, found student academic performance is more affected by alcohol consumption than by any other kind of pastime.
