President Barack Obama is facing one of the most difficult decisions he will make while in office, and it doesn’t concern health care or the economy or entitlement reform. This issue predates his term in office, and we will still feel the lasting impacts of it long after his administration leaves the White House.

Public option health care will lower costs

Health care is one of the most important issues of the 21st century. If we don’t get costs under control, health care will bankrupt the federal government – it’s already putting unbelievable strain on state budgets. If we don’t change the way we approach health care, salaries for our workers will continue to be depressed, and it will be difficult to achieve healthy economic growth for the middle class.

Our country has lost a great American, and I have lost a political hero. Ted Kennedy died early Wednesday morning, and I can’t help but feel the void he has left in American politics. Say what you will about Ted Kennedy the man – and he certainly had more than his share of flaws – but Sen.
