More than three decades ago, a group of artistic University students decided it was time they had a creative outlet on campus. They thought there was a void in the campus community and the University’s writers and artists needed a forum of their own.
To fill this artistic void, they created Stillpoint, a student-run literary magazine that is published annually each spring and contains the poetry, prose and artwork of various University undergraduates.

Neither Tom Gray nor Mark Johnson could have predicted the result of their first meeting. It took place in the early ’90s when Gray offered to sell Johnson a guitar out of the trunk of his car. Johnson didn’t buy the guitar, but after realizing they shared an interest in slide guitar, they exchanged numbers and decided to meet and play music.
