Georgia swimmers host Fall Invitational

The Georgia swimming and diving teams will return to Gabrielsen Natatorium this weekend to host the Georgia Fall Invitational.
The Bulldogs will be hosting Florida, Auburn, Denver, UNC-Wilmington and Boston University throughout the weekend.
The No. 1 ranked women’s squad will look to keep its perfect 4-0 record intact, but the men’s team will be trying to break out of a slump to start the season as it sits at 1-3.

Georgia Swimming and Diving had an impressive win for both teams Wednesday night against Emory University at the Gabrielsen Natatorium.
With a sweep by the men and women, Georgia Swimming and Diving is off to a good start for the week.
The Lady Bulldogs pulled away with an impressive victory, posting a score of 145-92, improving their home win streak to 67 straight since the 1995-96 season.
Dogs’ swimmers split

It was an SEC rivalry splash Friday night in Gainesville with the Georgia Bulldogs taking on the Florida Gators in men’s and women’s swimming and diving at the O’Connell Natatorium.
The Lady Bulldogs finished the meet strong with a 137-104 victory over the Lady Gators, improving their record to 2-0 on the young season and 1-0 in the SEC.
Ice Dogs drop puck in Duluth

Here in the south, the only ice you might see is in sweet tea, which is why you might not have heard of the UGA Club Hockey Team.
But the truth is that they do exist, and they’re pretty good to boot.
The Ice Dogs dominated Emory University in an 8-1 victory Friday night in its season opener at the Duluth IceForum.

A first year graduate student from Florida State University, Karrissa Wimberley has collectively won 15 World Championships in twirling. This summer, she won the Grand National Collegiate Championship, a competition for feature twirlers, representing Georgia.

Ramsey changes pull in positive feedback

With the second week of classes coming to a close, students have had an opportunity to experience the new renovations at the Ramsey Student Center. The facility is already receiving positive feedback on the new additions.

Former UGA stars compete at worlds

Eight former Bulldogs have been competing this week in Berlin, Germany at the International Association of Athletics Federation World Track and Field Championships.
Among the competition is two-time defending NCAA javelin champion and former UGA standout Chris Hill, who secured his spot in Berlin by winning the 2009 USA Champion-ships in June.
