During my four years at this University, I wrote at least five full columns on racial issues at the University that I never submitted. I was dissuaded from submitting those columns out of fear of having racial epithets thrown at me and my argument ignored simply because of my skin color.

Despite our generation being raised without laws enforcing segregation, the disuniting of America along racial lines is already well under way. Our University, like many other institutions ostensibly devoted to higher education, worships at the altar of the nebulous concept of diversity.

First, we were In Love With Strippers. Now, we get to Superman That Ho. It seems like University Union is going out of its way to promote a Neanderthal-like attitude toward women on campus, following up on its T-Pain extravaganza by foisting a “free” Soulja Boy concert on the student body.

Ever had a lecture halfway down the Grand Canyon? While straddling the San Andreas Fault? Inside a Puebloan Cliffhouse? This summer, I’ve had lectures at all those places – and many more – as part of the University’s Interdisciplinary Field Program. For eight weeks, 16 students and seven professors journey over 14,000 miles, 20 states and 10 national parks while taking a full courseload of geology, ecology and anthropology.

Cheating more common in Dubai

“Can I cheat off your paper several times?” the abaya-clad girl politely asked during my art history mid-term. Sadly, I wasn’t surprised.

In my three semesters at the University of Georgia, I never saw any cheating occur, but in Dubai, I saw it happen on the very first quiz and continue through mid-terms.
