Budget cuts shouldn’t affect traditions

Leg shaking. Jaw clenching. Pen tapping. You would think I was headed to my execution the way my brow began to sweat as I wobbled out of my chair in the Tate Center hallway. I had to remind myself to smile as I walked into the dreaded room 143, 12 pairs of eyes staring impatiently at me.
University needs to get with the times

I understand implementing strong engineering and medical programs will enhance the University’s national standing. I understand more parking decks are needed to accommodate our many students, each of whom, it seems, owns two cars. But in this disastrous economy, when budget cuts are necessary, I think the administration must give first priority to financing existing programs.
