Soccer’s Tomlinson named to region team

Georgia senior defender Megan Tomlinson was named to Third Team All-Southeast Region squad by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, the organization revealed late last week. It is the second straight year Tomlinson has been named a third-team selection.
Math department wins $3.8 million grant

Orange and Maroon Effect Day

Virginia Tech family members and friends across the country have asked that Friday be declared ‘Orange and Maroon Effect Day’ to honor those whose lives were tragically lost April 16.
They have invited the country to be a part of the Hokie Nation and don orange and maroon to support the grieving family and friends.
Georgia falls to Gators in SEC quarters

The Georgia men’s basketball team’s quest for an SEC title and a berth in the NCAA Tournament came to an end Friday night, as the Bulldogs fell to sixth-ranked Florida 74-57 in SEC quarterfinal action in Atlanta.
Florida scored the first 17 points of the game and built a 25-point lead before halftime.
Track teams head to SEC Tournament
