The next great white rapper was showered with Gatorade after winning $100,000 Monday night.

University alum Timothy “T-Mo” Rasmussen trumped nine contestants to win the VH1 reality series “Ego Trip’s (White) Rapper Show.”

In the finale, the 2005 Grady College graduate, known as $hamrock on the show, rapped against finalist John Brown in a two-round battle to win $100,000.

Slurp noodles to celebrate Year of the Pig

The obvious way to celebrate the beginning of the Chinese Year of the Pig is, of course, to pig out.

Tonight, for a mere $5, you can put your chopsticks to work at Doc Chey’s second annual Noodle Slurping Contest.

The two-round competition will initially judge participants on how quickly they finish a bowl of Lo Mein noodles.

YMCA teaches Southern shag

The Athens YMCA offers beginning and intermediate level shag lessons for singles and couples interested in learning the official state dance of South Carolina.
